Tourist Itineraries – Tourist Information
Located in the South-East of Sicily, the late-baroque city of Val di Noto was included among the 49 Italian sites of the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2002. The eight cities of vallo-Caltagirone, Militello in Val di Catania, Modica, Noto, Palazzolo, Ragusa and Scicli already existed during the Middle Age, but they were partially or completely rebuilt after the catastrophic earthquake of 1693 with the style of that period. The urban planning, architecture and interior design represent the peak of the golden age of baroque in Europe.
After 10 years, Val di Noto is still one of the favourite holiday destinations in Sicily. This wonderful land is adorned with monuments, breath-taking beaches, scenic routes, archaeological sites and typical products.
